I have known about this for a few days, and wanted to share it with whomever may have not heard the news... one of our fellow bloggers (that has been linked to my blog's sidebar for some time now) has returned home to heaven and left behind a full house of sweet young children and a grieving husband. I am requesting prayers on their behalf. We have added them to our personal prayer list permanently, and I pray that you will think of them and do the same. There is just no way to replace a mother's love, and her children who are 10, 8, 5, less than 2 and newborn all need our prayers as they struggle through these first few months. Please be praying for her husband and children as they adjust to life without their wonderful wife and mom.

She has requested that we join others in celebrating motherhood and Missey's life by taking next Monday, March 13th, as a Mother's T.R.E.K and spending time with our children with a purpose in mind. I plan to make March 13th a fun day and join in the T.R.E.K.!
May God bless Missey's family in these valleys they must walk through... to give them peace and comfort, and to guide them into times of refreshing. May Missey's love and legacy live on in her children as they strive to make it home to heaven and see her again one day. May God's richest blessings be upon them. In Christ, Amen.

ReplyDeleteI plan on taking the week to bring out the clay and sculpt with my kids... it's a hobby that I enjoyed before kids and want them to know that about me.

Owlhaven - Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have been praying for her family all week. The kids have as well.
ReplyDeleteGriz - I've shed a few tears as well. Mainly when I read what Tom wrote on her blog. Poor guy. I just hurt for him to have to go through this. I think it is harder on men when they experience this kind of loss. I know it was on my grandfather when my grandma died. She had taken care of him all his life and he just didn't want to go on without her. I also really have a hard time imagining how horrible this will be for her babies. I am wondering - since it is illegal here in Arkansas to homeschool someone else's kids - how they will continue their education. I fear they will all end up in public school and daycare now.
Clay sounds fun, Amy. You'll have to post a picture of your creations. I love your blog design. I've been thinking of fixing mine up, but lack the know-how. I may pay Natalie Jost to do it... or get a few friends to help me. :) I'm pretty poor. :) Anyway... I loved your TREK idea. We were scheduled to be off on the 13th (Daddy's day off) so we may picnic in the park and finish up our fun crafts we've been lagging on. Maybe We'll take them on a local field trip. I'll stop by and leave you a note next week and give you details. Your write-up was excellent, by the way. I am sure Missey's family appreciates your efforts.
