We're trudging through and I have had to make a lot of changes that I never expected I would have to make. Me and the 14 year old are doing school together and I give my daughter a list for her to do alone. This was never how I envisioned doing school, but it is working and there is peace. For now, it's what works -- and we have to find the place in all these teenage changes where something works so that forward progress can be made for all involved in the homeschool. I'm sure things will continue changing. I'm praying - for the better! God has a plan.Sprittibeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07992769339576987845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13517164.post-10995125909447626632011-06-16T16:40:27.816-05:002011-06-16T16:40:27.816-05:00You spoke to this mom's heart today. I love your honesty.

I am a mom of four, also. I always BELEVED that I would be an on-top-of-it mom, as I was with only two children. Having four...and always a sweet baby when the youngest is three...has moved me from capable to "clinging at the feet of Jesus." Add to the mix that I decided to begin homeschooling last year (ahem) and you've got a whole year where I've basically been like a shell-shocked veteran. The fatigue, the feeling that I am in a fog, and the hamster-wheel sensation that I just need to keep the whole miserable wheel running...oh, mercy. I have such enthusiasm and such lofty goals, and yet my day-to-day feels like walking through deep mud in heavy boots.

I'm prayerful that I will feel "lighter" next year, and that God will work miracles here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13517164.post-73450101730412948532011-06-02T15:14:21.776-05:002011-06-02T15:14:21.776-05:00Well put! While I didn't go through the same situations you did my heart resonated with the feelings the trials evoked. We came through a very long season of testing and trials recently (3 years worth) and oh the glory God showed at the end! Every prayer counts, every tear dropped...He saves them. I just love that picture of our God, so compassionate. And can I say I was thrilled to read about Morgan's healing? I just want to say GLORY to God and also let you know that I have seen this miracle twice in my life (so your story was SUCH an added encouragement that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever). My own father's legs were different lengths and he was healed several years ago. An elderly woman in our church with severe hip/back problems due to one leg being shorter than the other was ALSO healed (documented) before our eyes and we prayed and watched her legs grow out. Your testimony of the entire year and how God came through is just awesome. Awesome, awesome. God bless you guys!woosterweesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16768163870494533835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13517164.post-69551712821416580332011-05-30T09:10:43.193-05:002011-05-30T09:10:43.193-05:00Love your heart here! This post evokes a great depth of feeling in it's raw honesty, yet it's not full of pathos. What a faith building year. I think a hidden curriculum of homeschooling is to experience life outside of books. Homeschooling makes for humane, compassionate people. The four walls of a traditional school create a sheltered, manipulated vision of what life really is. The way you have come through your year is the real teaching. Let the academic stuff be absorbed on its own. Peace to you on this journey.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16456360103620523621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13517164.post-42684153336149934062011-05-28T22:30:42.809-05:002011-05-28T22:30:42.809-05:00Praise God for his Goodness!! I know from my own experiences with them. Satan is always lurking about, waiting for the oppurtunity to attack us. Our Father is the only one who can get us through the moments of despair and defeat. As mom to a nine month old, a two year old, and a four year old, though, I can't offer much hope where sharpies are concerned. Just start saving for new furniture now. They'll grow up and you can have nice things someday. At least that's what I keep telling myself. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13517164.post-15779137461452898532011-05-28T19:35:19.974-05:002011-05-28T19:35:19.974-05:00All I can say is "Glory, Glory, Glory!
