Thursday Challenge: Sky

glass-n-clouds

These photos are of buildings in Little Rock, Arkansas. We visited there to take some photos and see some sights (and ride the wonderful trolleys) not long ago. I am a big fan of church architecture, and architecture in general. I love older buildings, but this sky-scraper (if you could call that a sky-scraper... it's short compared to those in Houston, Dallas, and most larger cities) was so pretty reflecting the clouds that I could not resist taking it's picture.

pulaski

This building with the clock is the Pulaski County Building. I guess it used to be a courthouse or something. It is really beautiful. It reminds me of buildings in Galveston. I miss seeing this kind of architecture today. Modern buildings can not hold a candle to the craftsmanship of those days.

window

This building was a two story building on an inviting, tree-lined street. I stopped to take a picture of it because I loved those little painted tiles and the way the sunlight and sky played on the masonry and glass panes.

church

This church is an Episcopal Church. I loved the way the steeple seems to shoot off into the sky.

Everywhere you look in this world, there is beauty to behold - even in a busy (or not-so-busy) city. God is good.

  3. I don't know what you mean, girl. I loved the sky photos you took. Photo contest quality!

Thanks for the encouragement. I love taking pictures. Don't have the time to make money at it, however.
