Only kindness can do that.
- Jean Baptiste Henri Lacordaire
A lot of times, I think of my blog as just a great place to save links so I can find them later. Sometimes it is a scrapbook of favorite homeschool memories. Other times it is a place to write about something I am passionate about, or to share information about a good book or a news story that is worth passing on. I never imagined when I started blogging that it would be a place I would find friends, or be encouraged myself. This has been the case, though. I am truly thankful to God for it.
Tonight, I wanted to thank YOU. You know who you are. The lurker, the daily reader, the commenters, and those who take the time to email me and tell me that you were touched by some mindless thing I said in a tangent here. I would never know how God is using me to touch your lives if you didn't share it with me. There is nothing in this world that I wouldn't like more than to hear "Well done, good and faithful servant" from my master's lips. When you send those notes, you are the whisper of God in my ear - the voice of praise from my Lord. Through your sometimes silly comments, simple emails, or heartfelt encouragement... I can see that God is smiling down on all of us - and is more than just "in the details"... HE IS the details.
May God bless each eye that rests on this post. May He whisper in your ear that you are precious to His heart. No matter whom you are, or what you have done, or how far away you may feel from Him right this minute.... I hope you know that He can use you for His glory... even if it is something as simple as a "Hello" to someone who's a bit down. Kindness is the balm of God's glory in mankind glowing through the darkness.

I have been reading your blog for awhile and I can say that I do find it very encouraging. Thank you for the prayer for your readers today, very sweet and thoughtful. I am thankful that God is giving you peace during your trial right now. I know when we were going through a financial situation I would sometimes "run" ahead with worry and have us in these "situations" that might not ever happen. I really felt God comforting me by impressing on my heart not to"run" ahead, but to stay right by His side holding His hand, one day at a time. What an amazing God we serve. That way He could look after us the best.
Wonderful entry and thank you for the blessing. Beautiful.
Thanks Debbie. Yes, it's good to stop running and let God take the lead.
Monicar - Thanks. You are a true friend.
Buggymug - I am blessed that you are back in my life, even though we may be a bit geographically challenged. :) Happy homeschooling!
