I thought I would share a favorite autumn poem with you... since I am not much in the blogging mood. I want you to know that I'm coming back - and hopefully soon... just needed a little breather. Time away to reflect and pray is good medicine. Time with my husband and kids (and friends) these past few days has been priceless. I took this photo of a sunset in Arkansas as I came home from a long field trip today. It reminded me of the apple-blossom sky in Disney's "Johnny Appleseed" video. God bless Johnny for planting his apple seeds and the seeds of the Lord's truth everywhere he went.
Cherish those youthful Spring and Summer years before your own family's Fall and Winter comes. Kiss those kid's faces in the sunlight before they grow up and fly away in the autumn wisp of a dandelion-seed wind.
* Please remember to pray for Carla as she buries her little boy tomorrow (Wed).Something Told the Wild Geese
Something told the wild geese
It was time to go.
Though the fields lay golden
Something whispered – “Snow.”
Leaves were green and stirring,
Berries, luster-glossed,
But beneath warm feathers
Something cautioned –“Frost.”
All the sagging orchards
Steamed with amber spice,
But each wild breast stiffened
At remembered ice.
Something told the wild geese
It was time to fly –
Summer sun was on their wings,
Winter in their cry.

What a sweet comment. It is comments like those that prevent me from thinking that getting personal is taboo. Thank you for your encouragement.
