Tips for the Day and Holiday Bustle
I wanted to have a link here to the tips I wrote for The Old Schoolhouse's Company Porch. Most of these articles have not been published here on my blog. Check'em out if you have time.
On a personal note, I discovered that there are only between 12-14 school days left between now and Christmas Vacation! That means I'll have to blog less and get busy trying to cram the rest of our studies into a shorter block. With Christmas letters to write and mail, bags to pack for our pending Texas trip, holiday parties and Thanksgiving meals to prepare food for... and all the bustle of the season; blogging may have to take a back seat!
Don't worry... I'll do what I can to get you your fix of Sprittibee's homeschool blog. It may just have to come in smaller doses for the next few weeks!
Happy Thanksgiving Week to you and yours! See links to TOS below! Maybe one day when "life slows down" (some say that doesn't happen ~ you tell me!?), I can write for Tia at the TOS Company Porch again.

Hey, Heather, I just wanted to add another thought to your Baked Bacon Tip of the Day. I leanred this from my Pampered Chef consultant. You can bake your bacon in the large bar stoneware bar pan (PC). When it's done, drain or absorb most of the grease, leaving just a little.
While the bacon is cooking, mix up a batch of pancake batter. After you've removed the bacon and most of the grease, pour the batter into the pan and bake the pancakes. You have one huge pancake that you cut into squares or rectangles. It actually looks like cornbread, but it's a quick and easy way to make pancakes & bacon and my kids love having rectangle pancakes.
Dianne... that's too bad that I don't have that PC pan. :) Maybe someone will donate one to me! I doubt I'll be able to afford a PC item any time soon... the ones I have are back from my working days (or at least the work that I did outside my home). :) I have the smaller pizza pan, the juice pitcher, a small paring knife, and a large butcher knife with a case that has a built in sharpener. I love what I have... but I found out recently that my stone wasn't supposed to go in the dishwasher... and I've been putting it in there all these years!?
