Do you have kids that are younger than 3rd and 2nd Grade? Go visit my previous field trip lists (linked with photos and reviews). They can be found on my Homeschool Series post by year/grade level.
Below is a list of field trips we took when my children were in Second and Third Grade during the 2005-6 school year. In case you are just "tuning in" (and I apologize up front for the regular visitors for sounding like a broken record), our kiddos were 6 and 8 at the time. As my "Field Trip Foto Friday" Series progresses, I'll try and stop back in here to add links with detailed reviews of these field trips.
If there is a review of the field trip, it will be linked below and marked with asterisks (***) so you can go read the review.
Field trips are our favorite part of the school year. Of course, I did not list the numerous times we went to the park or library - those are frequent 'field trips' for us. Some of these field trips may seem a little on the cheesy side also (fabric store being the main one I'm talking about)... but you would be amazed at what you can learn if you HEAD OUT SOMEWHERE with the intention of LEARNING something new! Even a trip to the grocery store can be an educational experience if you set goals, bring tools (calculator), have an idea of what you aim to teach, and make it FUN!
I plan on starting back up with my Field Trip Foto Friday series again to flesh out the details and bring you the pictures from each of these that I can. I may be unable to find a photo for all of them, but I will do my best.
Enjoy!

I know you have nothing else to do (ha!), so I'm tagging you for 8 random things about yourself.
Have a blessed weekend! :D
Insectomania Exhibit - my kids would love that! When we vacationed to Victoria, B.C. last summer, we went to the Bug Zoo, and it was the HIGHLIGHT of the entire trip. Well, Butchart Gardens can't be outdone for ME, but the kids, well, the bugs were top dog.
We used to do field trips, but I've gotten slack in the last 2 years. This list motivates me to check our state park and historic sites and get driving!
Bunny Trails... I have added your tag to my "To Blog" folder. ;) When I can pull it out of there is anyone's guess. :) I will try to get to it relatively soon, however. :) I'm afraid a few of my previous commitments might bang my door down if I don't get to them first... THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF ME!!!!
Jennifer in OR - Yes, my son is a BUG FREAK. He is "The Authority" on anything that has six legs and an exoskeleton. I have a plethora of bug encyclopedias and many of them are falling apart... binding loose and pages nearly unreadable from handling. He LOVES bugs. If I am ever in Victoria, B.C. - I'll be sure to visit Butchart Gardens. Thanks for the tip!
Michelle... Yes, we have been really pinched for money and have cut our trips back to those that are FREE for the most part. Minimal fees are OK, but when you are living on one income, it really limits where and how much you can "field trip". Praying that my hubby will get the job he's interviewed for and we'll be able to head home and make a little extra money so we can afford more fun in our school.
We've got to get out more...
