Today's Impossible Assignment List

I AM A LIST-MAKER. I'm not just a regular list maker... I'm an overachiever... a 'dreamer'. My lists are 50 miles long. Want proof?

Here's today's school assignment list. I'll pay YOU 50$ if we get the whole thing done. Shoot. I'll be lucky to get half of it checked off. Especially since Morgan decided she wanted to take a shower in the middle of Math and is in there singing (distracting my other Math-hater).

TODAY'S ASSIGNMENT LIST
Check chore chart off
Prayer time
Prayer journals
Recite memory verse
Read Numbers 13
Math speed drill and test
Italian lesson (20 min.) online
Grammar worksheets
Penmanship worksheet
Morgan does her spelling list (misspelled words from last week)
Write penpal
Eat lunch
Ink blot art
Paint butterfly on flower w/ tempora (GeeArt 'Do Art' assignment)
Nature journal supplies? Cut and paste our drawings
Read about salmon
Feed and care for caterpillar we are raising
Look inside spider egg sack (find one first)
Map for Uzbekistan & flag
Cook Azerbaijani foods
Read atlas and world family book on Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan
Computer research on timeline characters
Timeline cards for: U. Grant, Wycliffe, Si-Ling-Chi, Martin Luther, Jane Goodall
GeeArt Lesson Online
Mom to print GeeArt 'Do Art' assignments for it
visit 'alifetimeofcolor.com' for art
Read library books and list on assignment sheet after done
Begin reading Family Read Aloud assignment: Five Little Peppers and How they Grew
Free Reading
Family Read Aloud with Daddy (Lord of the Rings)
Nature Walk
Piano Lesson
Clean up school, showers, teeth, clothes out for tomorrow, prayers, bed

Now you can laugh. I really typed all that out. I told you it was too much, didn't I?

Let's see how much I can get done (including dishes, laundry, paying bills, and cooking). Yes - I'm serious. If you aren't a homeschooler (or if you are a man who wonders what your homeschool wife does all day)... now you know what we "do all day" (not including trying to clean up messes as they happen), so you don't have to ask. You might prevent yourself bodily harm by not asking as well... so consider this a safety lesson, too.

I had better get busy. See you later.

that is a lot of attention to detail and transitions....and I bet you are great at it!

Yes I was tired by the time I read number 5..

My list isn't nearly that detailed.

I list the top 5 or 10 things that have got to be done....

Hope you get it all accomplished.

Ha Ha Ha! I hopped over here just as I was working on my own enormous list! Not that I think yours is funny, but that I'm an equally big list-maker. Sometimes I HAVE to do it, just to free up space in my brain. Like when your computer gets too full of stuff and you need to get some files off so it can run better.

Now I don't have so much bouncing around inside my head, enabling me to think (marginally) more clearly.

I wish you all the best with your killer list!

love,
dianne ;-)

Girl, you are crazy. A good crazy, though. :)

I wonder what my list would look like if I were that detailed...

This comment is for Maya's Mom. I say that because every time I leave a comment on my Maya's Mom site, it posts the comment on my blog, too! If you want to see me check this list off... go to my blog's actual address where I have checked off the list to show what we got done... which was exactly as I suspected... less than half!

But we got things done... and enjoyed spending time together... and that is what is important! ;)

OOOH! I love that Family Read aloud. We're reading _Hobbit_ with little Obed right now. and my husband is reading _The princess bride_ to me.

I, too, love lists. though usually they are just mind flies that don't get transferred to paper. And yes, the lists are WAY too long to be done in one day.

Looks like you got a lot accomplished. I love making a list of things that need to be done so I can see how much I accomplished.

I think I would get tired just typing that list, much less actually crossing anything off of it!

LOL, I am not much of a list-maker, but my dh is an list-maker extraordinaire! His weekend lists are amazing and scary at the same time, so I have to sneak things on the list like "relax", "take a nap", "watch a movie Tammy will like", etc.

One weekend, he proudly announced he had done everything on his list. I replied, "You're scaring me!"
