The Tenth Day of Christmas: Serious Scrabble
Nothing like a little family feuding over the rules of board games to start your holiday off right. It isn't Christmas until someone says they QUIT because someone else isn't playing fair. Tapping the hour glass to make the sand go quicker is a sure way to spread the Christmas love, too.
All kidding aside, Grandma Betty's Scrabble game and pizza night was a big hit. I'm lovin' her swiveling scrabble board with inset spots for each tile to sit without room to slide! She has the serious scrabble-player edition. What a great gift idea for Christmas if you have a wordsmith in your family.
Boggle was fun, too... but everyone else couldn't agree on the rules of the game, so we quit. Of course, I was right and they were wrong... but I'm not going to rub it in because, well, ...it's Christmas!
Hope you have some fun with your family tonight. We'll be cuddled up together on Christmas eve at Grandma Betty's opening presents and getting sick on chocolate worm pie. If I manage to live through the chocolate overdose, I'll make sure to share the recipe with you next week when we return home. I think she got it straight from Jesus. Surely it is in the recipe book in heaven. I can't imagine not being able to eat it once I get my wings.
Another Christmas is almost here... the years pass so quickly! Enjoy making your memories.
Merry Christmas!

I am hoping to play a game of scrabble while my mom is here! Merry Christmas!
We love scrabble around here, although we play a different version called speed scrabble. It is really fun, I'll have to blog about it sometime.

And meanwhile, our Facebook scrabble game languishes... :)
Looks like fun. We have that same Scrabble board.
I LOVE Scrabble but never get to play it! I do have the computer game, but it's not the same!
It looks and sounds like everyone had such a wonderful time. Merry Christmas!
If we get together we will have to play Scrabble (if the kids will let us...)
We've got that exact version of scrabble -- my husband insisted. And no one to play with!
