Music Store Cats

technocat

Sometimes you just have to break up the monotony with something funny. I got an email yesterday that was too cute (I love cats). It was a link to hnldesign's Record Store Cats. All of them are funny, but Techno Tim (above) almost made me fall out of my chair. I won't divulge the sordid details as to why. Let's just say it reminded me of all those years when my husband and I (then only kids and BC - Before Christ) spent time in the DJ booth at the club and frequented record stores to pick up club songs on vinyl! There are some of us out here in computer-land who have actually SEEN a real RECORD before (although not many, I'm sure)!

Have fun today and remember to laugh a little.

HA! HA! HA! Those are great! I enjoyed them very much! They went along nicely with The Thing Falling Down a Hill that I just showed my kids! After all, they asked to see the Llama Song and one thing led to another! LOL!! Thanks for the humor - I sure needed it!

One more thought on the cats. I played "I Like To Move It" from Madagascar on the computer while viewing the cats - definitely even more of a funny event!!! They work well together!

The song I'm thinking of is "White Rabbit" by Airplane Crashers. At least when I look at this particular cat, anyway. ;)

I am sure it will be much funnier with music. Thanks for reminding me. I meant to put that song on earlier today.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I Loooooooooove the Lemur King on Madagascar. ;) "YOU FRREAK!"

HAHAHA! Ok, so far, the Techno Songs that win out with "Tim" the Cat are:

Fine Line (remix of Fine Time) - New Order
White Lines - Grand Master Flash
Body Rock - Moby

And we are still going through some songs on the computer to see how the dancin' kitty looks. ;)

Spice or Basket Case by Eon are really funny, too. ;) I'm sure I'm probably the only homeschooling mother who even KNOWS these titles. HAHAHA - that's even more funny than Techno Tim!

You should link this to Mama Says Om! This week's theme is "laugh," and that had me laughing!

P.S.: I have let the quest for the boots die. More about encountering and challenging my materialism than anything else. I mean, do I really need a pair of cowgirl boots so badly that I was willing to give time to scouring the internet and actually thought about driving 60+ miles to get them in a store? Need some heavy meditation on the themes of consumerism and materialism here!

Sorry about the boots Rebecca. I really just happened upon them... and if they had been more than 10$, I would not have been able to afford them! I probably didn't need them either, however. I mean, I really do have a lot of shoes.

I will check out Mama Says Om. Thanks for the tip. :)
