If You Don't Want a Communist America - ACT TODAY.

I never thought that right wingers and left wingers would be joining hands and speaking as one voice, but that day is TODAY. The ACLU and the AFA are both spreading the word to their listeners and asking you to CALL TODAY about this EXTREME BILL that could end up silencing your freedom of speech and preventing lobby groups from making YOU AWARE of what your GOVERNMENT IS UP TO. This is HUGE, people. If you like to think you are "free" in this country and have "choices" regarding your officials and laws... YOU CAN NOT AFFORD to remain silent. Pick up the phone. It just takes one minute (I already did it and it was painless).

Here's from the AFA:

Unfortunately, the House Judiciary Committee is expected to reconsider the “grassroots gag order” when the Meehan Amendment (H.R. 2093) will be offered on Tuesday, May 15, during debate on a broader "lobbying reform" bill. This amendment, sponsored by Rep. Martin Meehan (D-Mass.), would establish, for the first time, federal regulatory authority over efforts aimed at motivating citizens to communicate with their representatives about bills moving in Congress.

This threat is so serious that American Family Association has joined with other pro-family groups, as well as organizations from the left of the political spectrum, including the ACLU, to oppose the bill. Last week, we signed a joint letter calling on members of Congress to reject this dangerous effort to exclude men and women like you from the democratic process. To read the letter, click here.

The full House of Representatives is expected to act on the "lobbying reform" legislation on May 22. Depending on what happens in the Judiciary Committee on May 15, the full House may also vote on whether to include the Meehan provision in the broader bill.

Take Action

Urgent - if Congress does not hear from you, you may not hear from us in the future. Enter your zip code and click “GO” where you will be shown the phone number for your representative's office, and an appropriate suggested message -- one message if he is a member of the Judiciary Committee, and a different message if he is not. This is urgent -- please act today!

Okay, Heather, I find it very sad that there are no comments on this post. This is SO serious! Hopefully people were taking action and not worrying about commenting.

Praise God, that this was squashed, though! There's still plenty of bad stuff happening, but this is big.

Our ______ (sorry, I can't really come up with an appropriate word) governor approved gay adoptions in Colordao. UGH! He's doing significant damage very quickly. I need to be on my knees MUCH more!

hi, i was browsing the net for the definition of Communism and i was surprised by this message! it's strange how people at my school seems to not know that this is occuring. Even my government teacher didn't mention about this. I'm only 16 so i can't make any changes, but i really do care that we have to prevent America from becoming Communist. I've learnt about Communist before; my great grandparents were living through Communist in the mountains of Laos until the Secret War (Vietnam War)broke out and they migrated to Thailand. So, i just want to say: i need to inform my fellow friends at school.

Yes, I was shocked that no one responded on the day it was posted. They all need to go rent a copy of the movie "The Hiding Place" and watch closely - because loosing our freedom of speech is only the first step to a totalitarian system. We are already on that road with the minorities ruling our courts and the judicial system re-defining our laws.

anonymous - Yes, please do forward the message to everyone at your schools. This is precisely why we homeschool our kids... because the truth is not taught in public school.
