Nominations Have Begun for the Blog Awards!

The nominations phase of the homeschool blog awards for 2008 has begun! You have until Friday the 24th to get your nominations in - don't wait until the last minute! Voting is next month (long enough for the HSBA Post team to create polls from the spreadsheets of nominations and test them out to make sure they work properly). Vendors can still get their graphics, links, and prizes in to the HSBA Post team! It isn't too late. Email me if you need details.

So far, here are the 2008 prizes:

I'm almost a grandma now so no more homeschooling for me. But I just wanted to congratulate all of you. My kids were homeschooled and it was rewarding.

My oldest is an Engineer and graduated from NC State engineering school with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in concrete structures. 3 years out of college and he has a triple digit income. My youngest is still in college but works as a full time radiology transcriptionist. He is going to college to become a writer.

So the sky is the limit for all of you. I only homeschooled about 3 hours a day. I used A-Beka, Bob Jones, Saxon math which I thought was the best math program, and lots of library books.

It was fun and I wish you all the very best. My kids were more mature than most and better prepared for college. Keep up the good work!!
