Quote of the Day

Sorry for the post overload, people. Two posts in one day is usually not my style (or speed).

“When we started homeschooling, I felt as if I tucked a child under each arm and jumped off a cliff. Imagine my surprise to discover we had wings!” -Maura Seger

Top that! I love that quote!

Happy homeschooling!

reminds me of one of my favorites ('ve got this on a piece of "driftwood" I have no idea where I picked it up!)

"Faith is kowing that if you must step off a cliff, either a step will appear or you will be taught how to fly."

I love that quote too, Heather! You sent it to me when first made the decision to homeschool, and I have treasured it every since!

Heres Mine:
"If the schools were perfect, I would still homeschool my children--because it isn't about school. It's about families taking their children back and educating them as they see best. It's about giving birth to a child and loving that child enough to want to nurture him and be a part of his life until he no longer needs you. It is the natural thing to do. School is only a substitute for the real thing." --Kathleen McCurdy

So true!

Thanks MBR. :) That is a great quote, too. I collect quotes and have them coming out of my earlobes. ;)

Hather - Oooo. I like that one, too. You can find a whole slew of really great home-education related quotes such as that in "Educating the WholeHearted" child. Have I ever told you that it is my favorite home education book for the moment? Has been for a year or so. I love it!!!!

Fatty - I got that quote from a e-loop I was on in 2002. :)

Lisa, Devildogwife, & Halfmoon Girl - Glad you liked it! ;)
