CRAZY BUSY

"I've gone out to find myself. Should I get back before I return, please keep me here."

To Do before Saturday:

Find a moving truck for this weekend
Finish all laundry and pack all dishes
Go see friends tomorrow
Book a flight for friend to fly up to drive husband's truck back
Friends drive down to see me from out of town for lunch
Call Electric Co. and cancel service
Sign forwarding address in apartment office for refund of deposit
Call and cancel DSL and phone
Husband pays ticket instead of taking defensive driving
Bills/Checkbook done (it'll be a while before I can pay them again)
Paperwork sorted and dealt with on desk
Suitcases packed with enough clothes for a month for each of us
Pick up more free boxes
Friend gave us more tape
Forward address at bank
Change address at PO
Write and mail a letter to all creditors with new address
Call auto insurance agent and let him know we are moving back to TX
Change address for all magazine subscriptions
Cancel the Sunday Paper
List used curriculum for sale
Sell used curriculum we don't want to pack and carry back with us
Return books to library
Charge batteries in digital camera and video camera
Give extra food to neighbors
Cancel Netflix (will resume once we get settled!)
Cook and eat at home to get rid of perishables (resist fast food temptation)
Notify AR homeschool office of move
Write goodbye letter for our church
Give away clothes/hand-me-downs
Finish packing apartment
Change husband's cell phone number
Friend from TX coming in to town, drop off rental car
Pick up moving truck
Turn in key
Load vehicles & Moving truck
Friends to help load and unload?
Thank you card for for Moving Boxes

As you can see... I'm a little busy. I'll be back when I quit meeting myself coming and going... if there's any of me left.

I'm glad you wrote all of this down. Now hand the list to your Abba!

Praying for you. Slightly envious that you're going to Texas, the land of no home school regulations because Texans are FREE Americans by golly. . . (words of Wade Hulcy, husband of KONOS co-author, Jessica Hulcy).

Plus, I just love Texas. :-) God pulled me out of the desert I love and brought me to this tree-choked land of humidity, but He knew what he was doing, of course!

Way more than you wanted to know from someone you don't even know!

You forgot to put "breathe" on your list! LOL Good luck...I said a prayer for you!

I hope the move goes well for you--and I somewhat enviously second the cheers for Texas, a place I've never been but where some of our best homeschooling friends (and assorted other interesting critters) live. (new motto should be The Homeschool State?)

Post a list of homeschool curriculum you want to sell. As a first-year homeschooling mom, I know I would be interested!

Still praying for you, sweetie! Happy moving tomorrow. You'll once again be an official Texas resident! WOO HOO! And just think - no more Arkansas testing! :D

Thanks Mrs. :)

Jamin - thanks for the reminder! It has been a crazy week.

Mama Squirrel - Thank you! :) Come on down to TX and I'll hook you up with a personal tour. Yes, it is nice homeschooling in TX.

Ami - I have a list via email if you want me to send it to you. Just email me! I just sent it off to my homeschool sale email list.

My Little Wonders - :) Thanks for the comment... yes, I wish I could take a B12 shot. I'm already tired and it is 6:45pm (and I have to pack until 1:00am and my mom and a friend's husband won't get here until 2 or 3)... then tomorrow is moving day!

Bunny Trails - :) NO MORE AR TESTING! ;) Hey - I don't mind the testing so much. My problem is the govt. in my business. I test my kids anyway - in TX... but I do it in the comfort of my own home, for free!
