Re-directed

going-up

This weekend was fabulous. It is always hard to get away and leave your family for three days... but the rewards of a weekend full of worship, praise, study, "soaking" in the Word, prayer, and just enjoying fellowship and nature are all worth it! My favorite part of the retreat was getting to meet and share with other Christian women. Some of them were long-time friends that I already love. The rest were new faces that touched my heart as I got to know them and listened to their stories and struggles. Laughing and learning along with other women who are seeking the Lord is a wonderful way to boost your faith. There are plenty of nuggets of truth, notes, and prayer journal entries from the weekend that I treasure. I wish they did these retreats three or four times a year. They make that much of an impact on my life.

In the days ahead, I'm just trying to get back in to a routine. There's unpacking to do - house cleaning - homeschooling - bill paying - paperwork - and the to-do-list. In all of this busy work, I'm trying to remember to keep my "re words" in mind...

Retreat
Restore
Remember
Reflect
Rest
Refuge
Revive
Renew
Relationship
Resound
Recharge
Refuel
Relax
Reconnect
Rejuvenate
Repent
Reward

and best of all... Redeemer.

If I can just remember to abide in Him in the midst of my busy-ness, He can infuse His peace into my chaos. That is the true key of being refreshed by His presence.

Isaiah 40:28-31...

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

I don't know about you, but I could use some "re-charging". I hope you will find yours, too. Thankfully, He's got enough to go around.

Sounds like you had a great time...:)
This is the 3rd time I have read those Scriptures in less than 24 hours. God is so good.
Thanks for sharing,
