I Heart Faces Challenge: Cell Phone Pictures

i heart faces: cell phone challenge

This week it's a cell phone challenge at I Heart Faces. I know that DSLRs are great, but I would be lost without my iPhone camera. Some of my favorite photos that I have taken are iPhone pics. You would be surprised, I bet, if you saw some of them, that they weren't from my 'big daddy' camera. Not that the grain isn't a bit of a tattle tell on them... but you know, the camera isn't what makes the photographer. The passion you have for it and the passion you have for the subject matter - that's what makes a great photo.

There are some excellent phone aps for iPhone photographers. Some that I love are Photoshop Express and Instagram. If you don't believe that phone pictures can be wonderful... meet me back at I Heart Faces later this week to see the winning pictures! I bet they will rock your socks off: proving that you don't have to have a DSLR to take good pictures!

I agree, although the camera on my T-Mobile Dash really STINKS! Hehe!! That is such a funny look on his face. My son is only 22 months old and he already makes faces like that - blows my mind.

Heather,
Love that face!

You're exactly right ~

You can put a $10,000 DSLR in uninspired hands and not get a decent shot. Or you could give a motivated, creative photographer a $2 oatmeal box pinhole camera and they might make a masterpiece.

IOW - The photo is a product of you, not the camera!

Take care!
